Decisions! Decisions! Decisions!
The soccer season is over, but training is still going on, and we're into tournament mode now. While everyone is looking forward to school summer holidays I have to make some serious decisions.
I know training will continue through the summer but if I want to become an Asain soccer star playing professional soccer i'll need to be focused and commited.
The problem is the hot weather will make it hard not to go to the pool with my mates and train instead.
I have a choice and have to make a decision and take responsibility for my decision.
But the really big decision is whether I should stay with my current club, playing in the premier divison of the Sunday Youth League or concentrate on training and getting ready for trials.
I would love to do both, but i'm not sure I can. I'll have to make a commitment to one or the other.
I'm happy at my current club even though i've only been there for one season - and was the highest goal scorer - even though I was out with a broken collar bone for four months.
And that is the problem with playing in the Sunday Youth League… injuries. I know talented players who have missed out on trials because they got injured playing Sunday youth league matches.
Next season is going to be critical, and with the intensive training the risk of injury will be pretty high. Especially with teams who are just out to win silverware, no matter what it takes.
I know my dad has already made the decision, but i'm not sure what it is. He wants me to start making decisions both on and off the pitch, and take responsibility for them.
Any comments to help me make the decision will be very welcome.
