Asian soccer star, world cup 2010, London – After a thrilling contest between the groups first match between Ghana and Serbia which ended in a victory for the Ghanaians, the world's eyes were on Germany's opening match against Australia.
The Germans kicked off to a flying start demolishing Australia with a 4-0 victory. The German team were solid, fast-paced and fluent in their passing and movement. The performance was what we expect from a world cup team, which has certainly been lacking in the tournament so far.
Saying that, it could be argued that the Australians made the Germans look good, after all the Aussies aren't really known for their footballing prowess.
The real test will come in the next round when all the teams will have to really pull their socks up and show the world a footballing extravaganza we've all waited 4 years for.
Here's to hoping we won't be disappointed, especially by England.
