Hi, my name is Sobha, the guy behind this blog.

I'm a 13 year old Asian kid from London with a big dream to play professional football. Ok, wow. I'm an Asian kid with a dream to play professional football. Isn't that what every kid dreams of? What's so special about me? Why would you want to visit my site?

Well, here's the thing. I'm special, just like any other kid out there, and I have a dream. I have a dream and I intend to achieve it.  I've only been playing club football for 2 seasons, but have been playing in the park since i was 9 years old. My coaches have encouraged me and I train hard to develop my fitness and skills.

I believe I will achieve my dream through dedication, persistance and hard work. I have a passion for the game and have made a commitment to reach my goal.

I've opted to carry on my education through homeschooling and train daily with my dad and brother. I also have personal coaching from my club coach and am continuously learning more and more about all sorts of things that affect my performance.

Things like what and when to eat and drink, what streches I should be doing before and after training, how to stay injury free, how to develop fast feet for speed and agility and many other things. There are a lot of good soccer trainig sites out there which is why, even though  i'll make posts on a regular basis to share my training secrets and even put some videos up, a lot of the information will be about developing the right mindset to achieve my dream of becoming an Asian soccer star.

The main reason i've put this blog up is to share my ups and downs and show people that Asians can play football and with the right sort of training and support can make it into the professional game. Hopefully, I can encourage other Asians to follow their dreams and aim to become professional footballers.

I have called the blog Asian Soccer Star because that is what my dream and goal is. I believe that if you write down what you want to achieve, you are on the road to reaching that goal.

Also, the blog is about providing a platform for other Asian kids to showcase their talents.

The blog will also contain articles from Himmet (my brother and coach) and other specialist contributors.

Aged 18 I am Sobha's brother, trainer and editor of this blog. Working in the fitness industry and CRB checked to work with children I have gained valuable knowledge and expertise over the past few years. I am constantly seeking the latest cutting edge developments within the fitness and football/soccer industry to achieve peak performance, and will be sharing that knowledge on this blog.
